Feels surreal, but Baby #5—my upmarket mystery NO SHORE—has officially gone out to the first round of beta readers. Thanks to everyone willing to give it a read!

Writing Life Update
2.27.26
A little (well, big, actually) life news ... after a year with my previous agent, I’ve made the decision to go in a different direction with my writing career. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m now represented by Amy Giuffrida at Belcastro Agency. Amy found me via my original Instagram agent guide and was the first agent to offer on STILL LIFE WITH DANDELIONS in January 2025 (scroll to see her original emails), so it all kind of feels pre-destined in the best way possible. Amy is passionate about STILL LIFE and my writing style and I’m confident that I’m in excellent hands moving forward. So looking forward to working with Amy on STILL LIFE and beyond!

Line Edits Done! (I Think!)
5.31.25
Earlier this week, I turned in line edits for the remainder of STILL LIFE WITH DANDELIONS + some additional developmental edits. I’m so excited by the ways I’ve been able to shore up the story even more with guidance from my agent, Kim, and her assistant, Naomi. I’m really pleased with the updates and I’m excited for what’s next! Just waiting for my agent to reread, then we might have a few more tweaks … or we might be going out on submission to publishers! Stay tuned!

Dev Edits Done! (I Think!)
3.25.25
Today I turned in developmental edits for all of STILL LIFE WITH DANDELIONS, plus line edits for the first 150 pages, to my agent. I’m really proud of the changes I made over the past several weeks to make SLWD the best it can be. It was a ton of work, but also incredibly satisfying, and I really love how it turned out. If my agent agrees (fingers crossed), then it’s just line edits on the rest before we go out on submission to publishers. It doesn’t feel real! Thanks to everyone who’s been offering encouragement over on Instagram!

Meet Me on Motif
2.12.25
I had the immense pleasure of sitting down with Simone Kovacs—my friend, critique partner, and co-founder of the amazing writing app Motif—to discuss my journey to getting agented. We had a blast! Check out the full video in all of its wacky splendor here. And if you want a 30-day free trial of Motif Pro, check out my referral link! -
Adventures in Headshots
2.4.25
I’m a loooooong way off from needing a photo for the back cover of a book, but I told myself that if I got an agent, I would treat myself to some formal headshots. Marina Simanava was kind enough to come out to Books & Books to take them for me today! They turned out so fantastic — it was difficult to narrow down the 700+ (!!!) photos to 20 for editing. Can’t wait to see the finished images! In the meantime, above is a raw outtake of me and my crazy Chihuahua, Brida … She’s not a fan of strangers or cameras. ;)
